Tick Tock Goes The Clock

Time is ticking, Ansley!! We are ready for you!! Only 2 days until Ansley's due date. Of course, we know this really means nothing! I go to the doctor tomorrow at 3:15 and we will see how much I am dialated/effaced. I have been at 1 1/2 cm. and 50% effaced for two weeks now. I am hoping I have made some progress. Thankfully, I still feel wonderful and am continuing to work everyday and go about life as usual. Jon and I are very anxious to meet our daughter. I really cannot describe the excitement, thrill, and anticipation Jon and I share. Please keep us in your prayers over the next few days (I hope not weeks!) as we await her arrival. Pray that we will have peace, that things can progress naturally, that my parents and sister will make it from Georgia in time for the birth, and that things will go safely and smoothly. This will likely be my last post before the birth. Look for pictures to come soon!

Girls Weekend

This weekend, my sister Kerri came to visit. I LOVE having her come. We always have such a great time. Having a sister is the most wonderful blessing...having a twin sister is like icing on the cake!! Speaking of twins, she showed up on Friday afternoon wearing the exact same shoes I had on! We still finish each others sentences and even had to buy matching shirts this weekend because, after 26 years, we still love lots of the same things. :) This weekend, we enjoyed talking, laughing, catching up, shopping, eating out, watching movies, baking, and going to church together. It's hard to believe that the next time she visits she will be meeting her new niece, Ansley! She already loves Ansley so much and of course she had to bring her two little outfits when she came this time. I posted pictures of them below because they are just too adorable not to share :) Thanks, Kerri! I cannot wait for her to wear them this summer. You have such a generous heart! Kerri, I love you so much. You are such a beautiful person. You are so much fun to be around and I treasure our times together! It is such a joy to share life with you. Thanks so much for taking the time to come and visit!!

Date Day at Lake Guntersville

On Saturday, Jon and I took a drive together to Lake Guntersville. We spent the afternoon at L.G. state park and enjoyed lounging on the deck at the lodge where we could spend some quality time talking and taking in the gorgeous scenery! Afterwards, we could not pass up a seafood dinner at Top of the River! YUM!
